Heather Woolen began her coaching career in 2001, working alongside her Varsity coach and longtime mentor, Terri Harrod, gaining early exposure to high‑level training environments and competitive program building. Under Coach Harrod’s guidance, Heather developed a deep understanding of athlete development, team culture, and the technical foundations required for long‑term success in volleyball.

Throughout her career, Heather has served as Head Coach across multiple age groups, consistently leading disciplined, competitive teams while prioritizing skill execution, game IQ, and accountability. While she has coached athletes at various stages of development, Heather has a particular strength and passion for building elite foundational teams, where proper mechanics, tactical awareness, and competitive mindset are established early and carried forward into higher‑level play.

Heather is a firm believer that championship programs are built on fundamentals, attention to detail, and intentional athlete development. Her teams are known for strong defensive systems, high volleyball IQ, and athletes who understand how to compete under pressure. She takes great pride in mentoring athletes to become students of the game while fostering confidence, leadership, and resilience on and off the court.

As the founder and Director of Vision Volleyball Club, Heather is deeply committed to building a program grounded in family, trust, and high standards. She values knowing each athlete personally and creating a positive, professional environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and positioned to succeed at the next level.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University, bringing strong organizational leadership and strategic vision to the club. Outside the gym, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband of more than 20 years and their two sons.
