Haley Thompson discovered her love for volleyball at just six years old, beginning a lifelong journey in the sport that has shaped her as both an athlete and a leader. She went on to compete as an Outside Hitter at the high school level in Carrollton, Texas, where she was recognized for her performance and impact on the court. Haley earned First Team All‑District honors and was named Team MVP, reflecting her consistency, competitiveness, and leadership within her program.
Haley continued her volleyball career at the collegiate level at Southwestern University, where she competed in multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and played a key role on teams that captured conference and regional championships. Competing at the collegiate level further developed her volleyball IQ, work ethic, and understanding of high‑level systems and expectations, all of which she now brings into her coaching.
As a coach, Haley is passionate about sharing the game with young athletes and helping them grow both technically and personally. Her approach emphasizes strong fundamentals, confidence, accountability, and a positive team culture where athletes are encouraged to compete, learn from mistakes, and enjoy the process of development.
Outside the gym, Coach Haley works as a kindergarten teacher, a role that strongly complements her coaching by reinforcing patience, communication, and leadership with young athletes. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and is excited to be part of the Vision Volleyball Club family, where she looks forward to inspiring athletes and helping them reach their full potential.
