Calista Miller brings over 12 years of competitive club volleyball experience across multiple states, including four years in the North Texas Region, offering a well‑rounded perspective as both a player and coach. She also competed at the collegiate level for two years, an experience that has strongly influenced her approach to training, preparation, and long‑term athlete development. Throughout her playing career, Calista developed a versatile skill set competing as a pin hitter and setter, and she now specializes as a defensive specialist/libero, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the game from multiple angles.
Calista played one season of collegiate volleyball at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith and is currently entering her senior year at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Her experience playing multiple positions has given her a deep understanding of offensive systems, defensive strategies, and overall game flow, allowing her to coach with intention, precision, and attention to detail on both sides of the net.
In addition to her playing background, Calista has extensive experience coaching and mentoring athletes at all levels. She has hosted numerous private lessons specializing in defensive specialists, liberos, and setters, with an emphasis on footwork, court awareness, and in‑game decision‑making. She has also organized and coached college‑level camps, working with athletes ranging from elementary age through collegiate players.
Calista’s coaching philosophy centers on strong fundamentals, confidence, and volleyball IQ. She is passionate about helping athletes understand the “why” behind their skills, build trust in their abilities, and compete with confidence. Her goal is to support each athlete’s continued growth, prepare them for future opportunities, and cultivate a lasting love for the game beyond the court.
