Heather Perkins grew up in Gunter, Texas, where her love for volleyball took shape through both high school and club competition. She competed as a varsity volleyball athlete all four years of high school, while also playing club volleyball – experiences that deepened her passion for the game and gave her exposure to high‑level training and competition.
Known for her versatility, Heather played multiple positions on the court, allowing her to develop a well‑rounded understanding of the game and a strong volleyball IQ. She continued her volleyball career at Brookhaven College, where she competed at the collegiate level and was part of a team that captured a National Championship – an achievement that further fueled her competitive drive and commitment to excellence. Following her collegiate playing career, Heather transitioned into coaching, bringing her experience, leadership, and love for the game into athlete development. She has built a strong reputation as a coach who is deeply invested in molding young athletes, focusing on fundamentals, confidence, and long‑term growth. Heather is passionate about helping players develop not only their skills, but also their appreciation for the game, teamwork, and self‑belief.
