Karis Davis brings a strong background in competitive volleyball, leadership, and athlete development to the court. A decorated high school athlete, Karis competed at the varsity level and earned First Team All‑State and First Team All‑District honors, while also being recognized as both the Offensive MVP and Overall MVP for her program. Her consistent performance and impact made her one of the top athletes in her school’s volleyball history.
In addition to her high school success, Karis competed in club volleyball before continuing her playing career at the collegiate level with Hesston College. Throughout her career, she primarily played as a Setter, a position that demanded leadership, court awareness, and the ability to elevate the performance of every position on the floor. This role helped shape her strengths in communication, decision‑making, and encouraging teammates—skills that now define her coaching style.
Karis brings her playing experience directly into her coaching, using her deep understanding of the game to provide clear, constructive feedback across all positions. She is passionate about helping athletes identify and develop their strengths while building confidence, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Her approach focuses on preparing athletes for success both on and off the court, with an emphasis on leadership and growth.
Coach Karis currently serves on the coaching staff at Cornerstone Christian Academy, where she is the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach, continuing to mentor athletes in a competitive and character‑driven environment.
