Kit Cruz-Verona is a native of the Philippines and began her volleyball journey in middle school, continuing through high school as a Libero/Defensive Specialist. Her background at a defensive position shaped her strong understanding of court awareness, positioning, ball control, and the importance of consistency and communication on the court.
With over ten years of coaching experience across both recreational and club volleyball environments, Coach Kit brings a well‑rounded and developmental approach to working with young athletes. She is deeply passionate about using the game of volleyball to build confidence, teamwork, and enthusiasm, while teaching athletes how to work effectively with others and embrace growth through effort.
Coach Kit believes strongly in the philosophy of progress over perfection, emphasizing steady improvement, strong fundamentals, and a growing volleyball IQ. She emphasizes proper mechanics and foundational skills as the building blocks for long‑term success, helping athletes understand not only what to do, but why and how to execute it. Her coaching style creates a positive, encouraging environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.
She especially enjoys working with athletes between the ages of 10 and 16, guiding them through critical stages of development and helping them build both technical skills and confidence on the court.
