Lucky Herzberger brings decades of volleyball experience and has spent several years coaching both club and recreational leagues for boys and girls across the North Texas Region. A multi-sport athlete, she excelled in volleyball, basketball, and track & field, frequently serving as team captain and earning numerous accolades throughout her athletic career. Her coaching expertise includes setting, hitting, and offensive/defensive strategy.
Coach Lucky is deeply committed to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture—one that engages players, coaches, and parents alike. She believes that nurturing this culture is essential to team success and to cultivating a lifelong passion for the game. Over the years, she has developed a thoughtful coaching philosophy focused on building team cohesion, developing volleyball IQ, and guiding young athletes as they grow both on and off the court.
Her approach emphasizes the importance of mastering fundamentals and understanding the mechanics of the game as the foundation for strategic play and advanced development. She believes that true player growth begins with a solid technical base and a curious, coachable mindset.
Beyond the court, Coach Lucky is actively involved with Samaritan’s Purse, one of the world’s largest humanitarian aid and disaster relief organizations. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, practicing Pilates, and—of course—finding any opportunity to play volleyball.
