A former elite athlete, Mariah’s background includes competitive club volleyball, high school competition, and NCAA Division I collegiate volleyball, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the game from both athlete and coach perspectives.
Mariah began her collegiate volleyball career at Rust College, where she competed at the collegiate level while developing a strong foundation in competitive play, leadership, and discipline. She later continued her athletic career at Alcorn State University, competing as a Division I volleyball athlete against top‑tier competition and further refining her technical skills, volleyball IQ, and mental toughness. She completed her academic journey at Arizona State University, balancing the demands of athletics with a strong academic focus.
As a coach, Mariah emphasizes discipline, confidence, and mental resilience, believing these traits are critical for long‑term success both on and off the court. Her coaching philosophy centers on skill development, volleyball IQ, and character building, while fostering an environment that challenges athletes to grow through accountability and preparation. She is known for her ability to connect with athletes, push them to higher standards, and help them embrace consistent improvement.
